Indelust Diaries: Heart & Style
Indelust is an awesome retailer working with designers, artisans and and innovators from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal And Bangladesh.
The company partners with NEST, an international NGO whose mission is to align the interests of local designers and artisans to produce ethically sourced materials.
Indelust recently introduced a series of short films that take you into the studios & workspaces of the designers they’ve partnered with. The first video of the series introduces us to Ruchika Sachdeva of Bodice. The beautifully shot film features the song, “Ram” by Needle Drop Co. contributor, Alison Ables.
A recent article in Vogue India highlighted the #Indelustdiaries video series. Be sure to check it out.
“WE BELIEVE SHOPPING SHOULD HAVE A SOCIAL CONSCIENCE. By encouraging manufacturers to follow ethical and sustainable standards, fashion labels and stores can directly change the lives of millions of people, and the community and environment they live in. Indelust is unique in that we are a marketplace for high-end, contemporary fashion but we work with designers who directly support local craftspeople. You won’t find any sweatshops or polluting of the environment. Some of our brand’s focus on women empowerment.”
“The intention behind #IndelustDiaries is to give the world a deeper insight into how products are made. Either in workshops with high production standards, or focus on high quality materials or endeavor to lower their environmental footprint or empower women,” says Sana Rezwan Sait, co-founder and creative director of Indelust.com.
