Novi Split is the recording project of David Jerkovich. In the past he supplied all of his own instrumentation, learning viola when he wanted strings. More recently he’s acquired an ace crew of Silverlake musicians to back him up. He’s hitting a smooth stride.

 
Jerkovich is a producer/engineer at The Ocotillo Recording Studio. His music has been heard in several episodes of One Tree Hill, and recently in a Vogue production. His last album, Pink in the Sink, was called “melodic, tastefully low-key indie folk in the Elliott Smith vein” by Pitchfork.
