Michael Herrman is a composer, producer, performer, and humanitarian.

Michael has spent the last year and a half working and living in Kabul, Afghanistan, Paris, France and Rabat, Morocco. During that time, he stayed busy scoring The Punishing Business and producing songs for various artists as well as writing, recording and producing the next record for his own Portland-based Chamber Rock band, Buoy. During his time in Afghanistan, he worked with traumatized youth using music as therapy, taught rock n roll at The Rock School Kabul, and had the honor of performing for various Ambassadors from around the world. He also scored multiple short documentaries during his time there including Promote for USAID, which focused on the progress of Afghan women over the last 12 years.
