Adam Selzer is a pillar of the Portland music scene. He founded the iconic Type Foundry Studio in 1998, recording, mixing, and producing such artists as M. Ward, Spoon, She & Him, Sallie Ford, Jonathan Richman, Blind Pilot, Mirah, The Decemberists, Jolie Holland, and Langhorne Slim.

In addition to recording, Adam founded the band Norfolk & Western, whose members have included Rachel Blumberg (Bright Eyes, The Decemberists), Dave Depper (Death Cab for Cutie, Ray LaMontagne), and Peter Broderick (Efterklang). He currently plays with his band the Alialujah Choir and is the occasional bass and guitar player for M. Ward.
