GABE CASTRO

photo

Music has always been a large part of Gabe’s life. Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, there wasn’t much else to do. Gabe started learning piano as a child, and developed an ear for music right away. He would play along with early Nintendo games, learning the melodies and harmonies, which would help develop his musical ear.

After relocating to Portland, OR, Gabe played in several bands, touring nationally and internationally for several years. Gabe has engineered and produced several records, including major label and independent artists across the map. He has also engineered, composed, and arranged several film scores for studios like Universal, Sony, and Warner Bros.

Currently based in Portland, Gabe is composing scores primarily for video games– most recently Endnight Games’ “The Forest,” Konami’s “Slot Revolution,” Kung Fu Factory’s “Girl Fight,” and Critical Bacon Games’ “Jurojin: Immortal Ninja,”
